The week of November 2-6, 2015 is College Application Week. During this week, senior students across the state have the opportunity to complete college applications during the school day and many Montana colleges and universities will either be waiving or deferring the college application fee.
You will have the opportunity to complete an application(s) during your English class on Tuesday, November 2nd, in the Library. Additionally, the following representatives will be present to share information: Great Falls College MSU; University of Great Falls; Military Recruiters; Wells Fargo; Job Service
Please note and take advantage of the following events and activities throughout the week.
Monday, November 2nd - “PHOTO OPP” Report to the library when you have some free time during the school day and have your photo taken wearing or sporting your favorite college gear, props, etc., that’s in line with the college/university you are planning to attend. You may have your photo taken independently or in small groups. (Feel free to bring your school’s jersey, pennant, hat, scarf, beads, etc.) Your name will be entered in a drawing for some giveaways.
Tuesday, November 3rd– College/University Application Day . . . You will need to gain a copy of your historical grades from your counselor for your application. In addition, you also need to bring the following information with you to use as you complete your college/university application(s):
· Date of voter registration
· Date driver’s license was issued
· Last two years vehicle registration
· Date began living in Montana
· Dates of any extended absences
Also on Tuesday, “Wear Your Favorite College Gear Day!” Sport your pride and wear your favorite t-shirt, sweatshirt, or other appropriate apparel that honors your favorite college/university.
Wednesday, November 4th – “Wear Your Favorite Career Gear Day!” Dress up like you would if you were going to your dream job.
Thursday, November 5th –FAFSA Information Night is ahead on Tuesday, December 1st, at Great Falls College MSU. You can expect to receive a reminder postcard in the mail. Both you and your parents/guardian are invited. You will learn about the money you may be eligible to receive your postsecondary education. Refreshments will be served and door prizes will be awarded. A FAFSA Forecaster link is available at www.fafsa.ed.gov for you to complete prior to attending the FAFSA information night on December 1st.
Friday, November 6th – Blue and White Day! Show your BISON spirit and deck yourself out in Bison gear.
